Repair from within

Polynucleotides are purified nucleic acid fragments. They are thought to support cell repair and fibroblast activity, which helps collagen production.

They don’t add volume or reshape features. Their job is skin quality, which is why they’re often chosen for thin under-eye skin. Rejuran® is one of the brands we use, and the product is chosen at your consultation.

What it can help with

What polynucleotides can help with

Polynucleotides improve the skin itself rather than adding volume, so they suit several concerns.

Fine lines and crepey skin

Improves resilience where thinning, dehydration and lost elasticity create a crepey look.

Under-eye skin

Our most popular area, for thin, crepey skin where filler is not the right approach.

Elasticity and texture

Supports smoother, firmer-looking skin as early signs of ageing appear.

Dull, tired skin

Gradually healthier, more refreshed-looking skin through regeneration.

Neck and décolletage

Treats thinning, fine lines and crepiness where they become noticeable.

In depth

Everything you need to know

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are purified fragments of nucleic acids used in injectable treatments to support the skin’s natural repair and renewal. They do not replace volume or reshape your features.

Instead, they improve the environment and quality of the skin, which makes them a key part of regenerative aesthetics. We offer polynucleotides including Rejuran®, the Korean regenerative treatment now popular worldwide.

How do they work?

Your skin repairs and renews itself constantly, but these processes slow as we age. Polynucleotides are thought to support cell repair and the activity of fibroblasts, the cells that help produce collagen.

Rather than an instant filling effect, results build gradually as your skin responds. Think of polynucleotides as a skin-quality treatment, not a quick fix.

The under-eye area

Not every under-eye concern should be treated with filler. Dark circles, hollowness, pigmentation, thin skin, visible vessels, fluid and laxity all cause a tired look, and each needs a different approach.

Where the main issue is thin, crepey skin, polynucleotides can help because they improve the skin itself. They will not correct every cause of dark circles or hollowness, so a proper assessment comes first.

Polynucleotides vs skin boosters vs fillers

Skin boosters are usually hyaluronic acid based and focus on hydration and texture. Polynucleotides take a more regenerative route, supporting the biology of skin repair. Some plans use both.

Dermal fillers are different again: they replace volume and support structure. This matters most around the eyes, where real volume loss needs a very different approach from thin, crepey skin.
